CORNERSTONE CHURCH: Director of Women’s Discipleship Ministries

Status: Part-time (20-25 hours)*
JOB DESCRIPTION
The position will oversee women’s discipleship and related ministries at Cornerstone Church, and requires leadership of these at the March Street, Second Street, and any future campuses. It will focus on providing opportunities for discipleship and other means of equipping women for serving the body of Christ.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Model, teach, encourage and oversee biblical discipleship among Cornerstone women
- Uphold and promote the vision and mission of our church, particularly in our three-fold ministry philosophies of developing leaders, mobilizing laborers and partnering with Christ-centered churches.
- Develop teams through our five-step team-building philosophy of inviting, equipping, identifying leaders, trusting and honoring
- Submit to and support the leadership of the pastors and elders
- Work in unity with other Cornerstone ministries
- Develop and administer an annual budget
- Recruit, disciple, and train a core women’s ministry leadership team for all campuses
- Participate in staff meetings at a rhythm designated by the lead pastor
- Plan, promote, and provide life groups, an annual conference, events, and/or other ministry opportunities that facilitate spiritual growth, encourage mentoring, and deepen community
- Define women’s ministry goals and structure
- Personally invest in the lives of women through prayer, godly counsel, and support
JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- The spiritual gifts of leadership and administration
- Clear evidence of God’s calling into women’s ministry
- Spends regular time in God’s word and has an active prayer life
- Love of the women of Cornerstone and a servant’s heart
- Insight and understanding of her gifts, strengths, and weaknesses
- Flexible schedule
- A teachable and humble spirit
- Strong leadership and discipleship skills
- Work well within a team, able to develop leadership and delegate responsibilities
- Effective written and oral communication
- Strong administrative, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Visionary, and able to execute a structured plan
- Work well with women of all ages
- Handles criticism well while demonstrating biblical peacemaking
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficient with Microsoft Office/Suite
- 5+ years of active involvement in Christian ministry
EVALUATION & COMPENSATION
- The DWM reports to the Lead Pastor who will conduct an annual performance review. Compensation is reviewed annually by the board.
*This job description is more than can be completed in 20-25 hours/week and will require prioritizing which will occur through DWM and lead pastor meetings.
