Riverside Ministry

“This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.”   2 Corinthians 9:12-13

Who We Are

We are disciples of Jesus Christ that are following HIM into the community through service, prayer, and the teaching of HIS word. Our primary focus is reaching out to share the gospel to those within the community who are often overlooked and that are lacking resources. We feel strongly that it is also our responsibility to invest in our volunteers through intentional discipleship training and development.

Our Mission

The mission of Riverside Ministry is to demonstrate our faith in action by being and living out a redemptive community. Riverside Ministry feeds the bodies and souls of our community with the Good News of Jesus Christ, with fellowship and a warm meal. The heart of what we do is the beginning of a redemptive community. The Holy Spirit is drawing believers into deeper places of commitment to worship, pray, and demonstrate our faith. God is doing a great work in our hearts and is bringing a manifestation of God’s presence into our community.

Where We Are Going

Our goal is to continue to enhance our ministry while not losing sight of the core fundamentals that have sustained our way all of these years. Every Saturday evening we will continue to provide our guests and volunteers teachings of the gospel, a warm meal, and access to key supplies (i.e. clothing, toiletries, sleeping bags, etc.). However, we realize there is a limit to our resources and reach. Therefore, we have begun to partner with other Christ centered ministries (i.e. Teen Challenge) that have complementary resources to supplement our own. By doing so, we have created cooperative partnerships that have proven effective in breaking the chains of substance abuse, disrupting generational cycles of poverty, helping families to stay together through various challenges and increasing the number of our guests that have a saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Where We Meet

Riverside meets every Saturday at the Cornerstone Campus on 2nd Street in Easton (across from the Easton Post Office) from 5:30 PM.

How Can I Help?

We are greatly in need of more servants in two areas. The first area of need is for qualified servants (18 years of age or older, and willing to complete a background check) for our Children's Ministry. The second area of need is for men to serve on our security team that assists with opening and closing the ministry on Saturday evenings. Lastly, we are always in need of prayer for unity, protection and the salvation of those who do not know Christ within our ministry.
