CORNERSTONE CHURCH: SSC Pastor Assistant in Youth and Worship




Responsible to: Second Street Campus Pastor

Status: Part-Time (25 hours per week to be used at the SSC Pastor discretion)


JOB DESCRIPTION- (Phased approach to responsibilities that emphasizes prioritization to keep within hours allotted.)


To provide oversight of the SSC worship ministry and support for the Cornerstone Student Ministry by fulfilling administrative tasks, planning weekly programs, and organizing events.


Weekly Responsibilities: Administration


● Organize and lead weekend worship services and assist in leading youth services, including admin, teaching, and events.

● Create and implement excellent communication among those serving in worship and youth.

● Enlist/train volunteers as needed for ministry teams/events/activities.

● Weekly meetings with the SSC Pastor and other worship ministry leaders.

● Any other meetings as needed.

● Respond to emails and phone calls within a 24-hour time frame.


Weekend Responsibilities


● Assist the Campus Pastor in all SSC weekend services.

● Be available to open, close, and prep the facility for all services/events.

● Ensure preparations are covered for teams at each service.

● Assist with planning, implementation, and facilitation of services & events.

● Create a high-touch environment (love, encourage, welcome people).

● Seek out students and facilitate an exceptional experience for them.

● Identify/Resolve potential issues.

● Oversee Sound and Media teams

● Must have strong administrative abilities and proven ability to communicate effectively.

● Must have experience in problem-solving.

● Must have the ability to handle multiple projects effectively.

● Must have a proven track record of effective time management.

● Must have exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written, and organizational skills.

● Must be able to manage stressful situations well.

● Must be a steady, people-oriented, team player.

● Must be detail-oriented, creative, and able to learn new technology (Planning Center,

Sound Board, Lighting, etc).
