CORNERSTONE CHURCH: Administrative Assistant
JOB DESCRIPTION
The administrative assistant serves the church by assisting in the day-to-day operations of the church office, overseeing the church website and social media accounts, and effectively communicating with the congregation. The Administrative Assistant must have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the statement of faith of Cornerstone Church.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
● Attends weekly service planning meeting
- Records and edits meeting minutes and send to staff
- Updates service flow in Planning Center
● Attends weekly staff meeting
- Records and edits meeting minutes
● Updates Church Calendar
● Maintains & Updates Church Website
● Creates and Shares Content to Social Media Accounts
● Checks church email daily
- Sends Monday & Friday Emails
- Prayer Need emails
- Informational emails throughout the week as needed
● Processes mail
● Orders Supplies as needed
● Sends weekly announcements to staff each Monday for updating
● Weekly upkeep of Cornerstone Connections
- Sends announcements and ministry spotlight slide/update by Tuesday at 12noon
● Corresponds with Dave Block for weekly Ministry Spotlights
- Creates ministry spotlight slide
● Manages and updates Planning Center applications
- Services, People, Groups, Registrations, etc
JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
● Proficient computer skills including use of the internet, email, and word-processing
● Website management experience or willingness to learn
● Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and willingness to learn new platforms as opportunities arise
● Team Player - Ability to work collaboratively with the Cornerstone Church staff on a daily basis and provide fellow staff with support as needed
● Creativity in order to develop graphics for social media, website, sermon series, etc.
● Relational Ability - A “people person” who demonstrates humility and works well with staff and volunteers of different personality types
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
● Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
● Three to five years of administrative experience
● Experience managing multiple calendars
● Experience with managing sensitive data
