Position: Media/Arts Director of Cornerstone Church

Responsible to: The Lead Pastor, Church Administrator

Co-labor with: The Campus Pastor(s)

Manages: Technical Team, Worship Team Leaders

Status: Full-time

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Media Arts Director wears many hats but is most responsible for the care and maintenance of all audio, video, and light systems; as well as participating in recruiting, training, and development of volunteers in the use of all major technical systems.


 LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES


A. TECHNOLOGY 


  1. The Media Arts Director is responsible to train, disciple, raise up, and maintain sufficient teams for running the technology involved at all Cornerstone Church Campuses.
  2. Will train and shepherd the sound technology teams.
  3. Will train and shepherd the screens projection and streaming teams.
  4. The Media Arts Director will oversee the audio/video technology of all Cornerstone ministries (including, Riverside, Women’s, Men’s, Special Services, Weddings, etc.)


B. WORSHIP

 

  1. The Media/Arts Director is responsible to train, disciple, raise up Worship Directors and Worship Leaders. Maintain sufficient Worship teams for the weekend and special services.
  2.  The Media/Arts Director is responsible for working under the direction of the Lead Pastor (WORSHIP LEADER) and working with cornerstone staff regarding the order of worship and arrangement of services through Planning Services App at weekly staff meetings.
  3. The Media/Arts Director will provide oversight for Cornerstone drama teams and work with church staff to provide input for special services.
  4. The Media/Arts Director is responsible to inquire about the Spiritual Life of all those involved on Technology teams and Worship teams.
  5.  The Director will keep the Worship leaders accountable to a devotional life while studying the Word of God.
  6. Also to help advance their skill level as musicians, sound engineers, and screens/streaming operations.


C. PASTORAL CARE/DISCIPLESHIP


  1. In the humility of Christ, The Media/Arts Director must exercise authority (under the direction of the Lead Pastor and the Elders, over the music teams and technology teams). 
  2. The Media/Arts Director will watch his life and doctrine closely, seeking the Lord in times of prayer/fasting and in Bible study, and in accountable fellowship.
  3. The Media/Arts Director will be expected to fulfill his scriptural calling to equip the saints of the music teams and the technology teams for the work of ministry. Also will help identify those called to serve as worship leaders, musicians, and technology directors.
  4. The Media/Arts Director should create a sense of shared purpose among the music teams and technology teams in leading by example. Involve the music teams and technology teams in the decision-making process for corporate worship.
  5. The Media/Arts Director will manage conflict (facilitate peace among members of the music teams and technology teams).
  6. The Media/Arts Director will review with the Lead Pastor and the Board any problems or concerns of the above, working with them to determine solutions.

D. ADMINISTRATION


  1. The Media/Arts Director will have general oversight of the administrative elements of the music and technology teams, working in compliance with the Church Administrator in regard to these elements.
  2. The Media/Arts Director will help maintain the integrity of the music and technology teams in finances, in communications, in scheduling, in rehearsals (corporate/personal), and in other administrative areas.
  3. The Media/Arts Director will attend the weekly staff meetings of Cornerstone Church.


EVALUATION AND COMPENSATION

The Media Arts Director reports to the Lead Pastor who will conduct an annual performance review.  Compensation is reviewed annually by the board.
